BBK SPRINGS QUESTION

I am new to mods and I am not sure about a few things...

If I buy the BBK 2510 Progresive springs for an 02' GT, do I need to replace the shocks and struts too? I have heard that if you replace the springs and it lowers the car, then you have to also replace the shocks and struts. If so, what should I be looking to replace them with?
