I have an older one piece BBK x-pipe with Cats on it. I used to be on my Saleen but about 5 years ago, a tire shop high centered my car on their lift and ended up smashing one of them so now it rattles. They paid me to get a new one and the labor so that was good, Now I want to put that x-pipe on my 89 GT but I need to replace that damaged cat. I have contacted BBK and they do not sell them separate. The last guy I talked to there said he would email me the info for their supplier. I never received it and I have asked multiple times Has anyone been successful in finding a replacement? A normal generic one will not work as these have the cross over pipe for the air pump. Where I live I need to pass smog every two years so I need the cats installed. Any help would be appreciated. THanks

Do you know what size it is?

I was browsing through @CJPonyParts ad (check vendor forum) that they dropped yesterday or today and saw high-flow cats in 2.5" and 3".

There may be others. Those are just the ones I recall.

I did not see one with the air inlet hole. Just generic ones. Pic for reference.

3-way cats do not require an air inlet/smog pump.

I have the BBK-1662 X pipe cat on my 89, bought it from Summit back in '03.

Here are a couple of 2.5 inch Cat's that may work? There are many other pages of them.

Good luck

You'll pass smog with one that doesn't have The air tube, no worries.

So this is the close up of your existing converter.

Pretty sure a universal cat will get you what you need if you can reuse the air tube. Do they do visual in Portland? If not then you can skip the whole air tube stuff and just use 3-way cats like Noobz mentioned. I would try a Walker standard EPA or Magnaflow standard grade. I had to weld a set into my old off road X-Pipe when I lived in Houston and the car passed with zero issues with no air stuff. You just need to drive around and get them hot before they put it on the sniffer.
