My '68 coupe is getting the T-5 friday. My wallet (gas mileage) and my insatiable need for speed and a frigen clutch are so thankful. I think I might have already found a buyer for the C-4 too, which is also good news! This is the 5th car I've owned since I was 16, and the only automatic, I guess after almost 5 years I wasn't ready for a change. haha
Anyhow, can someone who has done the swap or similar (I'm going from a C-4 to a T-5, using modern driveline's kit) got any tips, suggestions or pitfalls?
Also, does anyone know of a good swap meet to go to in the metro-Atlanta area? I've heard about many in SoCal, but being that I just moved back home from Camp Pendleton....that doesn't do me much good does it?
On a side note, my heater is actually working now. I went to the base saturday and sunday (I'm a reservist...for now) and nearly froze to death. Went and got a new heater plenum, heater box and blower motor. Dear God! I actually had to lower the fan seating! I'm somewhat amazed, the old heater plenum was basically paper, the new one (thank you mustangs unlimited!) is a hard plastic. There is some sort of electrical connector that I had to rip off the old heater box. It was connected by what amounted to plastic rivets (sorry, I don't know the proper nomenclature.) Someone know where the hell I can get some of those?
