Hey everyone, i'm looking for help on belt length. I ordered the A/C delete that move the power steering pump to where the A/C was located, and i already ripped off the smog pump and don't really wanna bother with putting on the delete kit, so here's the real question, How long of a belt do i need to bypass the smog pump and A/C? Thanks in advance.

people say to use the string method (run a piece of string around all the pullies the same way the belt will run, then remove it and measure the string) but i like using masking tape instead. just for the fact that the string method will go inside the grooves on the pullies and might affect your measurments... with masking tape, i think you would have a more accurate measurement. if youre wanting to buy the belt now before you get the a/c delete kit, i think its like 68 inches. oh, and some people might tell you that you need the smog delete kit as well, but my buddy has just the a/c delete on his 90 gt, and took the smog off as well, but he doesnt have the smog delete pulley and he has no issues. some people say it will make the belt route too close, but he has had the car like that since ive known him (3 years) and he hasnt ruined a belt yet.
