Belt question

Can anybody give me the size belt to use in my 89 5.0. I am putting it in a 84 cj7 and it wont have teh A/C stuff on it. I beleive many of you put a shorter belt on when you drag race. I believe you bypass the A/C unit. Thanks.

well i got a belt taht would fit but now the idler arm flexes down to much so the belt will be rubbing on itself on the top of the water pump. Anybody know what i can do. I am not running an a/c pump on it so im kinda confused on how to run the belt now. Thanks

My A/C delete kit has a bracket that repositions the tensioner arm to where the compressor used to be. I think you need the same thing. Summit has kits for like $40 bucks.
