Belt Size?

Since you are bypassing the pulley on the pump, the belt must go on another way. I used the FRPP smog pump delete kit so I can use the same belt.

Is there any other way besides using that smog pump delete kit? Is there a certain size belt that will work? Thanks

If you use the 83.5 inch belt you don't need the smog pump delete, but you just have to change belt routing a little. I think someone on here had a belt routing diagram that they could post. It pretty simple to do, you could probably figure it out once you look at it

83.5 inch is what I used. You have to route it a different way though
Thanks for the info. I used this size belt because w/o the smog, it should be 6 inches shorter. I had an 89.5 inch belt on the car (ASP Overdrive alternator pulley needed a 1 inch shorter belt) Factory size being 90.5, I took off the inch for my "stock size" belt, then 6 more and came up with your 83.5 Works perfect. No more pumping sound from the smog pump. I hated it! :)

I would either buy what you think you'll need and two sizes bigger and smaller, or do the swap in the parking lot of the parts store. It just seems that each car needs a different belt, give or take a 1/2" or so (sometimes more). It sucks to make an all-day project out of a 5 minute swap (having to drive to the parts store 10 times).

Good luck.
