belt tensioner froze!!!!!!!!

Got my 3g alt in and now my belt tensioner is froze. Is there some kind of trick to this thing? I need to get the fox on the road. Tommorrow I can buy another. For now I need mucho help.

well if it is the pulley that froze then i guess something seezed the bearing in it. need to get a new pulley.

Its actually the spring loaded side of the tensioner.
The problem is that I have nothing but etching primer on one the drvr door. Cant leave the car in the rain.

Try loosening the big nut on the back?

You do know there is a locking mechanism on it right? Check that.

a tap with a deadblow and I'm good. Even ran to get another....oh well
