Ok, so i have a little money for my car... and the one thing that really bothers me right now with it, (besides the brakes which i am fixing also) my belts squeel when i am really on my car and it changes gears.. really annoying.. what can i do?? I have heard that gatorback belts are really nice.. ohh also i am about 1000 miles from 100K should i change the belt just because that reason??

gatorback will help that problem. It's from the accessory components trying to slow down as soon as your crank does but end up carrying momentum and slip. 100k doesnt mean anything if you replaced a belt 2k miles ago. Depends

Agreed. When your belt is off, i suggest replacing the idler pulley. I ran into this problem 3 days ago with my 4.6L f150. Threw on a Gates belt and now my idler sounds like its about to go through the hood.

Dont skimp on belts either, Goodyear makes a good belt, Gates does also. Dont buy a cheapie!

*as Kilgore would tell you*

Get a gatorback, take the belt you currently have on your car and put it in the trunk. That way, you always have a spare.

i don't think i want to be keeping my other as a spare, when i was getting it off. it started to kinda crumble, very little, but still pieces fell off... it was time it needed to be changed..
