bending headers?

Ok, as I posted before, I put some hooker headers on my 69. Well, the collector sits up too high. They need to come down about 3/4" and maybe even out a little. Is there a safe way to do this? They are ceramic coated so I dont want to ruin it.

i really don't know, but ceramic is brittle by nature, and it is coated on the header after it is all formed to it's final shape..

i doubt if you can do anything to "bend" the metal without having the ceramic shatter in that area.......

you may be lucky if you get them extended by cutting+welding, but I would not do this. Calling tech line is worthless
