Bent a pushrod, what are some of the possible causes?

Well i took my car out to the dyno and was running on the 13th pull and a pushrod decided it couldnt handle something, it bent really bad i will try and get a picture up later but im trying to figure out why, it doesnt make sense because i dont see why all of a sudden it became a problem, thats my worry. let me know what you guys think, thanks
 
You know, I had one bend also on my old combo. My guess is it was caused by incorrect rocker geometry. I recently took off my ported E7's and Crane 1.72 rockers and found 1 bent pushrod...it didn't seem to affect anything but maybe I got lucky because I'm sure that's not good.
 
If it's a slight bend, seems those are most often caused by bind or piston to valve contact. Sometimes on bind or p to v contact, the weak link is the rocker getting tweaked or pulling out of the head. When that happens, it can lodge/wedge in a way that the pushrod gets really pretzel'd.
