Best aftermarket suspension....???

I'm in need for suspension upgrades badly, but not sure what is the best route to take?? I want to do shocks/struts and springs, but should I go ahead and do control arms etc....ALSO what is the best brand/setup? I hear good things about Bilstean. All feedback is appreciated.


95' gt 5 Speed. Mods: cold air intake, off road h-pipe with flowmaster 40's, 3.73 gears, A/C and smog delete

Your intended use is very important for us to help you out

I daily drive my car with about 5 trips to the drag strip each summer. My setup works great. If I were to autoX then I would need a panhard bar with my current setup. If I were to drag race only I would go with a set of drag springs instead of the ones I have on the car now.

For street or road course/autoX, Maximum Motorsports has great stuff. I've got a lot of their stuff and couldn't be happier. They've got several packages, depending on how serious you want to get.

Bilsteins are top notch.

Whatever you do, get a good alignment afterwards.

+1 on the MM stuff, I also like Griggs racing, expensive but really good. Bilsteins are my choice as far as shocks, however quite a few use tokico's and koni's. Any of these brands will be leaps and bounds above stock.

The car is a daily driver, but I still want to take it to the track 3-4 times a summer. No auto X but something that would work for street and occasional trip to the track. I have a medium range budget so what should i get for best bang/buck.?

go with a upr kmember kit. then get a nice set of shocks and struts. then find someone selling some rear springs like some eibach or something. then after you get all that done then you can do control arms when you get some extra cash. upr's k members rock.

Is it worth it to go with adjustables for just a couple trips to the track each summer? I dont mind spending the extra money if it will make a difference....

the 1/4 mile drag.(No AutoX) Is it worth it to get adjustable shocks/struts for only a couple trips to the track a year. Or are the non-adjustable going to be enough?

I think it is worth it but this is up to you. Drag racing is addictive
Let's put it this way: you decide later that you want to race more often or want to try autoX or just want more control of your suspension setup. You are better off money wise getting the adjustables now instead of buying two sets of struts/shocks.

i'd go with the adjustables. thats what i need next.
