Best cam for stock heads?

Hey ,I am considering a cam swap but i want to keep the stock heads for the time being as money is not on my side right now..Can you guys just let me no what the best cam is for a 99 and up mustang gt with stock heads?

Go with VT Stage 1 n/a cams, you don't have to replace the valve springs. They give real good power all the way to 6200+ depending on your setup. I love mine!!!

GTs whit stage1 are running surprisingly strong about107+MPH in 1/4 mile.....

i say do valve springs and stage II's

ive seen too many dyno's with the stage II's and stock heads performing awesome

do stage 2's work with stock heads and gearing....And hwo do u get by youyr emissions testing with stages II's?

you would want to move to a 4.10 or 4.30 gear with either set of cams and emissions testing are non existent here in FL. stage2's work great with stock heads

But I think VT recommends installing LT headers when running the stage 2s... just something to consider

ive seen dyno's with shorties and stock headers and still awesome results.

no doubt man, just saying it would definitely be optimal with LTs

what kind of power do the stage 2s give and how much do they cost.

ive see stock headed bolt on stage 2 cars put down 300. there was a stock car with flow masters and stage 2's and it put down 260 rwhp, i believe cobra killer tuned it(this was like 2 years ago)
