I just ordered my MagnaFlow X-pipe today, because there are so many issues with Bassini X-pipes. I do have one question for those with the MagnaFlow X-pipe. Did you need to buy o2 ext?

Bassani tends to be the only one that sets off the light consistently. We have the same kind of testing here in Chicago...they scan your computer for codes. I passed emmissions with no cats on the car!

If you have the MIL eliminators you will have no problem passing emmisions no matter what your midpipe. But, DO NOT buy bassani...its crap, fitment sucks too.

Does the MagnaFlow Catted X-Pipe trip the check engine light or cause the system check to fail?

I want to run this pipe, but NY is going to an OBD-II test this year where they plug into your OBD-II diagnostic port and check all he sensors for complience.

I had it for about a year with no sensor and then I got chipped which shuts it off.. but that year of having no chip the sensor did not go off.

Replacing the factory H-pipe has the potential of triping the check engine light whether its Bassini, magnaflow. If that happen thats when you'd buy a set of MIl's... My friend has a Mach one with a Bassini x-pipe and it hasn't tripped the light. But it hangs down to low for my taste thats why I'll get magnaflow.

Yeah...bassani hangs VERY low. You would think for the outrageous prices they charge they would have superb fitment. They should be embrassed how terrible the fitment is.

Youre lucky!! My old bassani was low as hell...and scraped EVERYTHING. I will never buy another bassani product again. Any my cat burnt out after 6 months.

My friend has the Bassani Catted X on his '03 GT fits nice and isn't low either, though his light does trip every so often but to be fair he did get his mid-pipe used from someone who had it on a '01 Cobra I believe.

I have the Magnaflow Catted X. I never even bothered to see if the pipe would cause any funny sensor crap, I just bough MIL Eliminators anyway that way the oxygen sensores after the catts pick up the "Everything is fine dandy and stock down here" message.

I have bassani o/r x-pipe. I don't know if you mean that the cats hang low or the pipe hangs low. The o/r pipe isn't low at all. But as i said I don't know about the cats.
