I just bought a 93 gt with an automatic. ideally i would like to get the car to around 400 to 450 rwhp. im new to the mustang world as i used to be a chevy guy with a built corvette and 2 95 formulas. i have been doing alot of research but i would like to know what you guys think would be the best combinations of heads, intake, headers and any other parts that is needed to get me to my desired hp safely.

A 347 with a trickflow top end kit will give you what you are asking for. 200 differant way's to do it and all end the same. You are going to break the tranny. Plan to build a strong trans ahead of time.

With that power range the driveline should be beefed up as well. Breaks and the suspention should be addressed also.

yeah first thing im gonna do is the suspension. i have a gt40 intake waitin to go on for now. from what i am told the tranny was just rebuilt with heavy duty parts but we'll see about that i guess.

that is a pretty lofty goal - put a turbo charger on the stock engine, crank the boost until your happy - and get a high performance trans to take the abuse.

Do not look at a trickflow kit on a 347 to get you a 400-450 rwhp.

That would have to be a pretty beefed up 347 to get those numbers, which is what most guys stroke the stock 302 block too.

Now you can get a nice 347 and set the goal of 400 rwhp with a stock block.

Is this a daily driver or street car?
