I'm new to domestics, what difference does the X pipe make exhaust wise?

You have duel exhaust, two headers coming from each side of the engine. The X or H pipe is the mid pipe between the headers and the tail pipes, and the X or H signifies the shape of the crossover pipe between each side of the exhaust. On an X, the two pipes bend towards each other and siamese in the middle. On an H, the pipes stay mostly straight and there's a separate tube that connects the two in the middle.

Typically an H is going to sound more rumbly and deeper than an X and yield slighter better torque numbers than an X. An X typically sounds raspier and rippier and generally yields higher peak HP numbers than an H. Ultimately the numbers are trivial and it's more of a sound preference than anything.

So I'm guessing the one I linked to is an H?

No, that would be the "cat-back" which is a slang term used for the section of the mufflers to the tailpipes. "Cat-back" as in from the catalytic converters back. The cats are on the mid pipe, either an H or an X but i don't think any stock car has come with an X.

Here's an X pipe to be used with full length headers (that extend down to underneath the car)

And here's an H pipe:

Long tubes, o/r H, and macs. I'm still partial to an X though.

Yeah everybody else are OKAY. But if you want a real exhaust system, go with BBK shorty unequal cermaic headers, bbk off road x pipe, magnaflow cat back system. The fitment is perfect, and sounds extremely nice. Every time i leave my local car show, all the guys stop and listen. And im not full of myself either. Its just that good! But yah know if you want to be like everybody else, Just buy flowmasters or mac.

And its loud enough to wear i can't hear my cd player to well anymore! If you put some cats on you quiet it down though. But then whats the fun in that. And its a good loud, not a raspy ****ty sound. Its a clean loud expensive sports car sound.

That sounds pretty good in the upper rpm, I'm still not crazy about the flow sound down low though. I must say I liked the Bullets better. Cool editing, and awesome song choice btw.
