Why you ask, because it's about cross section, intake selection, rpm range, stroke size, exhaust, gearing, weight of car, trans type, piston speed and induction type.
In other words, it's all about the combo. I bet if you went and got a custom cam made for what you have now. You'll be closer to your goal then just going out and slapping on a set of "better" heads. Just check out this

not necessarily(if we are talking about rwhp). I agree with the "its all in the combo". Those holley kits dont put out 350 to the wheels, and neither do the TFS kits( anywhere from 290+).There are afr 185 347 strokers that dont even reach 350hp if the combo nots right. But there are some that reach way upper 300's.
