Best intake gaskets...Fel-Pro or Mr.Gasket?

Which is the best intake manifold gasket set to go with,Fel-Pro 1250`s or Mr.Gasket Ultra Seal or Ultra Seal 2?

Currently using the Fel-Pro 1250`s which suck imo.I`ve had to retorque the lower 4 times so far to stop coolant seepage.

Your pretty much gonna have to retorque any lowers. I usually put a little bit of silicone around the water jackets on my 1250s then bolt it all up. Run it through a few heat cycles and then a retorque while it is warm. I end up going over all of the bolts several times since it seems that as you torque the manifold the added bolts reduce the amount of torque you put on the previously installed bolts. Usually take 4-5 rounds of torquing them down til they are all set.

Why so much retorquing with these fel-pro 1250`s?

Nobody retorqued the lower manifold from the factory when the car`s were new,and they didn`t seem to leak.

I have always used Fel Pro stuff when I had a choice, and never had a problem.

Last few years, I use mostly CarQuest gaskets by Victor. No problems yet.

I typically don't retorque the intake gaskets, no problems in the last 20 years.

I like the Mr. Gasket Ultra Seals 2 personally. They have nice thick beads of sealant around the coolant ports and look like they would seal better.
