Trying to break 300 rwhp, and I've heard good things about Long Tube headers.

So which brand has better quality - BBK or MAC ?

Easy of installation - BBK or MAC ?

Do they fit AFR heads alright ?

Which O/R pipe gives more torque with Long Tubes - X-pipe or H-pipe ?

Is it true BBK has now come out with a shorty x-pipe for there LT's ?

Which finish - HTS or polished ceramic ?

I've got FMS shorty's with Bassani O/R X-pipe and I was wondering approx how much more torque and rwhp I'll make with the long tubes and O/R X or H pipe ?

Thanks Dewman :nice:

I am going with MACs

but oddly enough in the t347 they tested in MMFF the unequal lengths headers made more peak power than the long tubes. LTs only beat them down low below the racing powerband

I know people will say differently, but I'm real happy with my MAC Ceramic Coated LT's... The fit was great, plus the price was better... Plus I gained 20rwhp, when I switched from MAC shorties, BBK Catted H, and slowmasters, to MAC LT's, Dr Gas X, and Bassani Mufflers.. I'm happy as can be.. :)

Not much to add here but, i run Mac LTs, last Summer with a Tmoss stock lower i was at like 315 TQ or so...Thats purdy decent for what i had...LTs may have has a hand in that???...Chit, Killer got 20 ponies..thats worth it in my book...I read that article in 5.0 to....kinda surprised me..I thought the LTs would shine...Didn't appear that way...

That test has to have something up with it. I don't get it. Trap speed is an indication of horsepower and with identical mods as WhiteDevil (he has a TB and MAF and short tubes otherwise the same) I trap 1 mph more than him in the 1/8. His track is also at a lower elevation and he has better sixties than me. I still believe long tubes will out do the shorties at the track any day of the week.

KOOKS LT's $$$ - Worth It ???

I see alot of our folks running MAC's or BBK Long tubes. Has anyone tried the 1 3/4" Kooks Long Tubes with AFR heads.

Talk about $$$$, are they worth it ?

I'm leaning toward BBK ceramic coated LT's with there new shorty X-pipe. Mainly cause I like the raspiness of the x-pipe, and not to mention it makes more hp.

Thanks,Dewman :D
