best manual?

i bought my mustang off a friend who never had the car manual in the first place. i'm working on things here and there and i'm tired of checking online for everything. i have a '94 5.0
i know haynes and chilton both have manuals. anyone like one more than the other? or have any better thoughts? i have chiltons for my other car, but being the 5.0 that it is, i wasn't sure if one manual had more info on that specific engine than another.

Get the real Ford service manual. I beleive Year-one sells them or try Ebay.

Chiltons is better than Haynes IMO.

they both have their strong and weak points. I would get the chiltons and a shop manual. shop manuals are indispensible. they have tons of info that haynes or chiltons doesnt have the money to publish.

This is the great truth that more people need to learn. The factory service manual is flat out the best there is. I have a complete set of factory manuals for all four of my cars. They're available on eBay all the time at decent prices or through www.helminc.com at very high prices. Either way, it is the best investment you will ever make in your car. If it is available for your year, make sure you get the Electrical Vacuum Technical Manual (EVTM) as well. It's the most detailed electrical manual you will ever see.

Chiltons & Haynes are only good for soaking up oil spills or for toilet paper if you're really desperate. The only people that would recommend either one are people that have never used the real thing.

Bargain! Year One has them for 1 arm, 1 leg, and 1 soul...
Even better, they dont have one for my year! Hooray! Anybody use ALLDATA?

Alldata is good but a service manual beats it.

My buddy has Alldata.....if you work on alot of different cars it's worth it.

I'm not sure if this sell it this way but.........If you could just get an Alldata program for a EEC-IV system it might be worth it. My friend has over 300 cars on it....and it burned alot of memory.

My dads friend is a delta mechanic and delta provides free service for all delta techs. He gave us the password and it is friggin amazing!! anything I want to know I look it up there. Also autozone has an online thing, not good by any means but alright for simple need to know stuff.

hey have you taken the tour of delta up thur in atl. It is pretty cool one of my dads friends works up there also.

Well its good for me since I have the password for ALLDATA from the dealer I used to work at.
