I'd agree - my second choice was the SLP catted, modular X. I really like the idea of being able to remove the cats, but I knew the H would give me the sound I wanted, so I went with the MRT H. An X pipe will give more power in higher rpms than an h-pipe. X-pipes work by crossing the exhuast pulses to increase velocity in the center of the pipes. This increases flow by a bit, hence, how they make more power. However, an h-pipe is better for low end power, as it does not reduce back pressure by as much as an x-pipe. As for the power difference being noticeable, not too much. H-pipes are deeper sounding than x-pipes, but x-pipes produce a higher pitched "rasp" sound. As for quality differences in Stainless steel and HTS coating, an hts coated product will not last as long as something that is stanless steel. When you reffer to "HTS" coating, I automatically think of Mac performance, as they're the only ones I know that HTS coats their products. I like the power and fitment of Mac performance products. However, the rust becomes an issue in time. If I had it to do over again, I'de probably go with Bassani, Borla, Magnaflow, or SLP.
