I have the motor pulled out of my 90 GT. Looking to get the block bored .030 over, and also get new bearings, oil pump, ARP rod bolts, Main Girdle, and some forged pistons for boost with new rings. Trying to figure out what are the best blower pistons out there. Also i would like to run a safe compression ratio, but still be able to push a little over 400hp.

i went with diamond. but those are racing pistons

I've been happy with Probe pistons.

Everyone I know who runs a boosted application uses Probe. I have them in my 331 Stroker for my other car but its not on the road yet.

Also if i went with 8:5:1 compression pistons, What would the CR Ratio be with stock heads? I plan on boosting down the road, but not right now. I want a nice CR for N/A now, and safe for boost down the road.........

Where can i get probe pistons and which ones do i need for a stock block 306?

I believe a stock head is 58cc, but I could be way off...

I would check with Rick_91GT on this site, and Brian at www.adperformance.com...

They both can set you up with the best practical decision...

They all make good pistons.

I have used cp and daimonds past the 600rwhp mark with good success.

AS far as compression keep it around 9 ~9.5:1 .Car will be more friendly out of boost ,but yet not to high to run higher boost on.
