18x9 or 9.5 or 10? If 18x10, you should go up to the 295/45/18 for th rear

I believe you need a 10" wide rim for 285/40/18's. Thats what I was told when I bought mine last week. I went with 18x10's wearing 285/40/18's & 18x9 wearing 255/45/18's.

If running 18x10's you really should look at the 295x45x18.
I went with the 285x40x18 NT 555,, and while I'm not sorry i did, I think the 295x45 would look better.

Anyone want a brand new set of 285x40's?
JK'ing... really, I'd have to sell um cheap as a used tires, plus shipping, and then buy $400 worth of new tires AGAIN... Naw..I 'll wait till these are gone. 295x45x18 for sure are a better fit on a 10" wheel for this car when lowered 1.5" in the back.

And as others have said, Discount tire ..... As long as you have a place local that will mount and ballance at a decent price and do good safe work.

I've got the Eibach Pro Kit, Tokico D Specs, Some 18x9s and 18x10's, and some Nittos all sitting in my dining room. (255/45/18 front 295/45/18 rear) Stupid winter.

I am running Nitto 555 285/40/18's on 18X9 rims. They are a little pudgy, but they work. I am going to get a size or two down for my next set. I will probably do the same size on all 4 so I can rotate them. If you were in Houston I would say I would sell you mine and put 255/45's to match the fronts.

The offset on the FRPP FR500's is not right for 05+ with that large of a tire (i.e. 275 - 285). I put the 255's on the back and they look perfect.

295/45/18 is a 28.45 inch tire. How are you guys compensating for the variation in the speedo?

That is pretty darn big, thats why I went with 285/40/18's, only a tad smaller than stock. I would assume they are adjusting with their tuner.

285/40/18 = 26.98in so it's a 0.02mm smaller tire. And yeah, I would assume that too, I just didn't know how because I didn't see an option in my predator to adjust the speedo except to use it by changing the gear ratio.

Yep. I'll be adjusting with my XCal2. You can set the tire revs in there. After seeing the setup on Kool's car, I had to have that same setup. It looks so amazing, and helps fill the wheel gap. These cars are craving bit meaty tires in the rear wells.

I use my SCT X-CAL 2 as well to change tire revs. I love how the tall/wide tires fill the fender as well

My 295/45 Nitto 555NT on 18x10 dropped 1.2" in the back(255/45 Nitto 555NT on 18x8.5 dropped 1.6" in the front).

Grrr, call Summit racing (want the tires for this weekend) Yes! they have them in stock. . .drive 2 f'n hours in traffic to get em. . . nope, they are in Ohio.. . i almost blew a gasket. the only tires they had for me were some 265/40/18's in a M/T ET streets. . ah well, thats a hell of a tire also.
