Best Place to Purchase Pony Upholstery Kit?

i just bought a 65 non pony kit from cj's pony parts, and it is about the most complete, high quality kit on the market...seat covers, carpet, underlayment, sill plates, kick panels, armrests, headliner, dash pad, seat buns screw kit,750.00 (if you join the herd for 35.00 you save 37.00)

How about Distinctive Industries? Quality and fit wise, how do they compare to TMI? Does this sound like a decent deal?

I'm bumping this old thread because I'm considering buying new upholstery and cushions for the front seats of my '70 convertible. Can anyone recommend a good place to go, or where not to go? :)

I got everything from CJ Pony parts. You cant beat the prices. When I opened the package my windowlace came in, there were two small strips not one continuous strip. I did not want to piece it all together and I called CJ's and they simply sent out a new package - no problem. If I have a restoration question they send me to someone in that department or the shop that can answer the question. I usually wait to order on Wednesdays to get the free shipping. And No, I am not a paid spokesman but since I purchased 95% of the car over the internet, i have had my share of poor customer service.

there may be some "off - brands" but most all the upholstery is made by either Distinctive or TMI. so when you order from any vendor, you more than likely will get one or the other. Distinctive was the first to make the Mustang upholstery kits 20+ years ago. so the real difference is your personal preference who you buy from
