best plenum?

Why? So you make the same power bone stock and want to upgrade again once you do a few mods?

I think the 70 mm has better gains when used with the accufab plenum . Most people say only to go with the 75mm if you have lots of mods to the motor. I am done with mods to the motor. So I think Im going with a 70 mm.

Im with Slider, I just picked up a Granatelli motorsport upper plenum (c&l clone) for 117.00 about 250-300 bucks cheaper than the Accufab plenum. I think for both the accufab pcs. the cost is about 500.00$ If im lucky, I can get away with both pcs. for about 300-325.00. granted I may be down by 2 hp, but thats worth it i suppose.

I paid 320 for both BBK pieces, and I prefer the look. I'm not into the chrome under hood thing.

Accufab is more expensive for a reason. It has the best power gains as proven by Modular Depots testing and it looks the best being polished. I have mine and wouldnt cheap out with any of the other brands. Ill take the few extra hp and eye candy under my hood.

I know Dragon has a coated (chrome looking) option. Not sure if the other brands have that or not too.

i've got the trickflow plenum and it flows 100 cfm over stock. I've seen it tested in magazines agains c&l dragon and others and it flows more.

well **** if the magazines say its true...im sure your plasma booster, intake spacer and tornado are really badass

I did not post an after pics, but my car definetly runs better. The throttle response is much better, and it definetly has a little more power. It is a great mod to do, and you can not beat the price.

I agree with you Slider. For 30$ i picked up a 2nd stock plenum on ebay and have been spending a 1/2 hour here and there when I have the time. I'd guess i'm 2 hours or so into the p&p of the stocker and have another 2 or so to get it where I want it to be. Already had the dremel and a toolbox filled with bits so it's only costing the price of the plenum. It's not even about the $ as much as it is about doing it myself and enjoying the process. There's a lot more satisfaction in modding / fixing something yourself, instead of just giving in and shelling out the $ every time you want to do something. Sure I had to $ to buy new rims/tires last month, but man if only I had access to designing my own rims and getting them made I would have done it in an instant!

Sure, lots of parts there's no way to DIY. For the ones I can where the #'s won't be all that different, i'm all for giving it a shot and seeing what happens!

Well I stand corrected someone else does make a polished one but imo the accufab still looks much better.

havent heard any opinions on the peice though...looks similar to the dragon and C&L pieces

i've got the accufab 75mm plenum and TB setup on my car and i love it.. it's go the Mac straight shot also, so i've got a nice bit of a polished look under my hood.. i love the accufab setup, but that's just me
