Did you know you can get a H-pipe with magnaflow cats? Just giving options.

MRT uses magnaflow cats.

The Problem with this suggestion is the MRT pipe is for 99+ stangs bro. He has a 96'!! I'm going with the Magnaflow catted X as well. Wanted Bassani, but the catco cats suck. I'll be checking back for better prices, but 410 is best I have seen too.

whats this about the bassani cats sucking? I am looking into a bassani exhaust should I not buy and x pip from them?

Hey dude,

Just want to let you know that BASSANI is NO LONGER using CATCO cats in their products. They have created a new 5 piece design x-pipe that comes with removable cats that are made by Bassani themselves as well as "race pipes" if you wish to take out the cats and go off-road. The pipe is an excellent pipe and I have it matched up with my Borla Stinger Catback and it sounds greats. No check engine light either. The new 5-piece design x-pipe is one heck of a part, you won't be disappointed. :nice:

Hey Magnaflow rep here......

1. Bassani's converters are not EPA or CARB approved which means.....good luck passing smog, but at least they wont break like the cheap CatCo's......also I heard people are all ready having problems with check engine lights with them too....

2. Magnaflow changed their advertised pricing program....a quick call to any shop or place that sells Magnaflow will get you the lower price.

3. If you do have a problem with your Bassani converters, Bassani makes you send your entire X pipe back and then they will decide whether or not to issue you your warranty.....and they will charge you the shipping...

Magnaflow works with enough stores, that you dont have to go anytime at all with no X pipe and you will not have to pay shipping.

4. Its pretty much a proven fact now that the Magnaflow will get you a few more hp and tq over the Bassani now as well.

and Magnaflow's response...

Have not been under a rock, just didn't know Bassani dropped Catco (thank god) but as our trusty magnaflow rep has stated, the cats STILL are NOT CARB approved. The only reputable cats (to the best of my knowledge) are magnaflow. With Magnaflow, you just buy the one kit and that's it, you can buy the cats alone and add them to the new Bassani set up, but it's gonna cost ALOT more. My vote still goes with the Magnaflow X over Bassani. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my Bassani and really wanted the Bassani X, but being in California = not much of a choice. :bang:

MRT has a H pipe for 99+ stangs. MRT says the cats are magnaflow.

1) Do you know if they are the same model cats used on the Magnaflow X pipes?
2) What are differences between H and X for
A) Sound
B) power/torque (H low rpm vs. X high rpm)

I want to keep the muscle car sound. I have stock H pipe with Steeda catback.

Thank you,
