I just got some black and grey bucket seats out of a 90 to a 93 Geo Storm to put in my mustang, they have no holes or tears or anything anywhere, but they have got oil and or grease spilled on one of them, just wondering what the best way would be to clean them, will post picks of them installed after I fab up some new brackets, thanks.

dude, get a Green Machine handheld steam cleaner. works freakin AWESOME!!! i don't have any before and afters, but i had a big grease/oil stain in my passenger seat that no chemical and scrubing alone would get out and the passenger floorboard was literally a red mud stain...both are now SPOTLESS, it's insane!

I'll probably get flamed/e-smacked for saying this, but I actually find the seats in my Geo Metro to be a tad more comfy than those in my '86 GT 'vert. At least the headrests are useful for something other than decoration; in my Metro, I can actually sit back and let my head lay against the headrest without tilting my head back, so I can still easily keep my eyes on the road. One-piece seatbacks = Detachable or adjustable headrests =

In fact, the seats in my Metro probably don't weigh diddly-squat compared to my stock Fox seats. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to go unbolting them and hopping on a scale to verify that suspicion ... but if those seats (or those from a Geo Storm) would be a direct bolt-in, I'd be giving some very serious thought to finding a set for my 'vert. I'm sure you could score a pair of 'em in pretty nice condition for next to nothing.

FWIW, as far as seat cleaners, I've had pretty good luck with Tuff Stuff and a handbrush for mild cleaning. For hardcore stains and whatnot, I break out the Castrol Super Clean, Purple Power, or Westley's Clear Magic and a stiff-bristle brush to power the snot out of upholstry ... although you gotta be careful not to bleach things out on the vinyl parts.

I was wondering that, myself. Is this some kind of a one-off column-shifted Fox we're looking at?

It's a new transmission called PsyShift. The tranny simply KNOWS which gear you want to be in when you push in and then release the clutch pedal.

After looking closer you can see where a piece of the rug has been cut for the shifter to go thru, but it was put back in place just to mess with us. LOL

I was going to say the same thing. Why don't you get the correct seats for your car first. You can get original stang seats for about 30 bucks each a the local junk yard.

First off I do have nice clean stock seats in my stang, I just don't like them, and I was just waiting for someone to lay some smack for putting GEO seats in (my) car, I put parentheses aroung the word (my) because it's my car, not yours, so those of you who don't like it , don't read it, I will post some picks of the seats tomorrow so you can see them and how dirty they are, but they are very comfortable to me, and I think they will look great in my stang. Thanks
