What is the best service manual for a 99-04 GT. I am not going to be rebuilding the internal engine or tranny or anything, so would the Factory Service Manual be worth it? or just a generic one from Haynes, etc.
How is the one from Ford? Are you talking the real big fat one thats like over a hundred bucks? If so do they go over everything in there? A camaro guy at work told me he got one for his car while building his motor and it helped a lot. Just wondering if its worth it?
You can get the real factory service manual from Helm Publishing. Helm does the service manuals for lots of auto manufactures including Ford. IMHO the Helm service manual is the best and well worth the price since it is the official service manual that dealers use. They typically offer a CD version as well as the paper "phone book" version. If anything I'd get the Helm manual and have another one (Haynes, Chiltons, etc) to have as a backup reference.
yep i got mine a helm to, i had some probleme with ford delay so i called the ford line and they sent me to helm, that's were they get it anyway. And yes every thing seem to be there.
Thanks, I ended up getting the service manual off ebay for all the technical stuff and I also picked up the haynes one from autozone cause it is really good for quickly referencing simple stuff.
