NOS is nice if you can find it but seems to have a premium price. There are plenty of repo companies but is there a consensus about where to get quality sheet metal for classic mustangs?

Having wrestled with the low quality off shore stuff, I would only use original sheet metal. I picked up decent used 65/66 metal whenever I see it if the price is right and you can still scoff up the occasional deal if you look hard enough. 2 years ago I bought 2 good front fenders, two very good complete doors with glass, a mint hood and trunk lid and nice front and rear valances for $450 total. All of it was sitting in this guys garage for 15 years for a restoration that he never ended up doing and all of it went onto a 65 coupe that my cousin and I restored.

I need a pair of rear quarter panels for a 65 convertible and so far the only NOS stuff I've found would cost me $3k! Is there a better option that won't cost so much but still produces a great product? Dynacorn? NPD?

There is a lot of sheetmetal out there made from factory tooling, but I like to use original metal when I can.

I agree with original stuff when you can find it but I'm not out for a Concours car so that's why I was asking for good options.
