ok guys I need to know the best RPM to shift at on a 98 GT with Npi heads. I have a set of 4.30's in the rear, and soon to be mac o/r H pipe, flowmaster 1 chambers. Were would you guys think would be the best possible place to shift at.

When I had the non-pi motor shift points were
- 1st gear: 5200 rpm
- 2nd gear: 5500 rpm
- 3rd gear: 5600 rpm
- 4th gear: 5800 rpm
Since most stock tach's are out to lunch, the rule of thumb is......find out where it starts falling on it's face and shift about 200rpm after it stops producing power.

A good baseline is to add 10% rpm to the peak HP rpm value. For example, if you make your max HP at 5000 rpm, then 5000 + 10% (500) = 5500 rpm.
