Best shifter for a TKO-500?

I am a big pro5.0 fan. When I got my TKO it came with a steeda. The steeda is decent but I quickly changed the handle to a pro5.0. I don't think MGW makes one for the TKO yet or else I would suggest you check them out.

i switched the shifter handle on mine to the steeda one and i like it better, my pro 5.0 seemed very notchy and hard to "snap" into gear sometime  i guess a shifter is like a woman, everyone has there own taste.

At least for me, I have very long arms and found that the Steeda handle placed my hand very far back - kind of uncomfortable. Almost like I couldn't see my hand when I was shifting into 2nd, 4th and rev. I put the pro5.0 on and my arm is extended when I shift (which I like). You're right though - everyone has a preference

I just emailed MGW letting them know that there is a large profit to be had by adding TKO500 and 600 to their selection of shifters. I said something about how they would sell more shifters just for the TKO600 than they probably ever have for the PT Cruiser

Grinding gears. I never had a problem until I installed my MGW. Now I have to shift very carefully (slow and controlled). Forget about racing, etc. Not trying to bash the product, I'm sure others have had a much better experience.

The only issues we have EVER had with our shifters is that they are such short throw that some people are actually outrunning the clutch with the hands :D

after they installed a clutch firewall adjuster all issues solved.

we have a shifter for the tko 500/600 shifter availabel now also :nice:

Yeah, I just emailed MGW last week and as stated above, it WILL be available real soon if not already... I'm going for the MGW asap when fund are available. And as far as problems I havent ever felt one or used one but maybe your shift stops are a little wacky? Or maybe it really isn't good with your app. I dunno lol

TKO Hurst

I ditched the shifter Handle for my handle that came with my stk T-5, and used some homemade bushings to make it fit.(steeda makes them as well) Love it, shifts great! I like the Hurst shifter the TKO-600 came with.

My TKO 600 didn't come with a handle, only the shifter base and I have no problems with it at all. I like it better than the B&M Ripper I had on my t-5

Oh, BTW.....the TKO's have built-in, internal stops so you don't need them on the shifters.
