Right now i'm using a Mach 1 style UPR billet shift ball...and i love it, but i'm thinking about switching to a leather ball. It gets super hot in the summer and super cold in the winter, and when your palm sweats it can be hard to keep a grip on.

The next thing i'd like to make is a pistol grip that screws on in about a 40-45 degree angle. I don't like the T style and the straight up and down is just awkward as hell when you get over to the right past 3rd gear. If it were angled to 45 degrees it would be a more natural position.

Mine still has the stock, and a buddy keeps telling me to change it. CJ Pony has the Steeda Tri-ax for $190 I have a $90 gift card to use by nest Thursday. I was looking to spend between and extra $150-$200 maybe this should be my next item???
My feeling is that a shifter should be the first mod you make to a Mustang. You use it literally hundreds of times in a day. Other than the steering wheel and the seat, it is the part of the car you touch the most. It's an inexpensive mod that takes about 15 minutes to install and it will provide you with a huge improvement in driving enjoyment. Spend a couple of bucks for a nicer shift knob while you're at it. Anything beats the cheesy plastic thing.

hmmmm wait on the TB and go for the shifter. It really is only gonna cost me $100 the Gift card was free lol.... I think you guys sold me on this, I was wondering about the true pros to cons on this item. Sounds like I have been missing a lot of fun lol
There are literally no cons...the only one i can think of is you might feel like it's harder to shift, because most aftermarket shifters take more authority to push into gear compared to the old and super wore out stock shifter that practically falls into gear. Beyond that, shifts will be shorter and more direct. I would definitely opt for a shifter before a TB, get the TB when you get a new intake and do it all at once. You won't feel the difference in a TB swap but you'll notice the shifter every time you shift gears.

I have the Tri-Ax. I'd probably get the MGW if I was going to get another one because of the adjustability.
Spend the $35 for the MGW adjustable handle and you'll have the best of both worlds.
I'll be interested to hear your opinions if you do this. If you pull the trigger, update this thread with your impressions.

Gonna pull the trigger tomorrow at work. I gotta say guys I have been on the phone with a fella named Joe over at CJ's and he has been extremely helpful and patient with some of my ignorance. I assured him I would call him back with any purchase that I made instead of by passing him and going online through their website. He did tell me they get credit for sales, not as in money but I guess as in ratings. So again I will order it tomorrow. Another thing about their webpage they let you write a very descriptive order of installation instructions. If they use yours then you get a gift card I think. Anyway it looks easy enough to install, just was uncertain if the factory shifter boot will go back over it? I mean I don't want to leave it open, I would really like for the boot to cover things back up and not be loose..

This is the stock shifter. It is quite tall and has a large rubber block to absorb vibration. Unfortunately, it also slops things up a lot.
