Best Spark Plugs for me??

I have a 02 Mustang GT. With the basic bolt-ons: intake, plenum, 70mm T/B exhaust, etc.... I dont have any type of Forced induction, and my car will never have Nitrous use...

I need to replace my stock spark plugs ( im at 60,000 miles)

I have heard that going with plugs that are 1 step colder is good for my car if I see frequent track use, and or I drive my car hard. Would this be true? I heard that the NGK tr6 plugs are good.

What type of plugs are all you other N/A stangs with basic bolt on runnin?????

You would want the colder plugs if you had some kind of a power adder. You'll make best hp with the stock heat range in a N/A application,as well as get better gas mileage. The Iridium's seem to be the "best" out there but I don't know if you'd gain more than 1 or 2 hp in your application.

I'd suggest motorcraft AGSF-32C's. They are copper and have extra long threads for insurance towards deturring blow out. No need to go to 22's unless you drive hard everytime you drive your car

Many people stick with NGK TR-55 plugs gapped at .052-.057 which is the factory heat range. Having extra threads in the plugs will not help against plug blow out.

The heads have very few threads, maybe 5 or 6 turns. Plugs may have 10-20 so no matter even if you had 100 on the plugs, only 5-6 will take 100% of the torque used to hold them in place. It's pathetic. I just blew one out.

Copper plugs that I suggested need to be changed ~ 25,000 miles but are supposed to perform better than the long lasting kinds.

im basically looking for a plug that performs better with my basic bolt-ons. I dont care for longativity in which the platinums provide. I hear that copper core plugs perform better but dont last as long which is fine with me as I will change em out every 30,000 miles. I did a search and it seems that the
Motorcraft part #AGSF32CF4 are the plugs im looking for which are copper...

After looking on summit racing. It looks like this plug is not for my application? will they still work for my 2002 Mustang GT???????? N/A

Correct, they were designed for the early 90's heads and thats the reason for the longer threads. I believe our stock spec plugs are an AWSF model. And as for the head turns, all i know it that w/ stock motorcraft AWSF's there's it two thread channels left unturned on my head, and w/ the extra thread on the AGSF's there's thread to spare. I never run NGK's....

it's recomended by FORD guys.... AGSF-32C at .054

I ended up getting the AutoLite 764's. they were a match for my application, and they are copper tip/copper core. yay
