K, what would be a better building block, a stock 03 mach1 motor with the mods i have now plus LT's, or my motor the way it is now plus LT's, VT blower cams custom ground by tim, and Stage II+ patriot p&p heads? I know that the combo with my motor will make more power initially but which would be easier to mod and make more power for less in the long run? Im thinking about the mach 1 motor swap but for the approximate 3000 range to get the motor in and working i could do a full head/cam swap and afford LT's.. What do you guys think would be a wiser investment for the long run?

The Mach will have more ultimate potential, but parts are harder to come by, and all the blower kits out there for the Mach's are fairly expensive.

The 2V will have a more boost-freindly compression ratio to start with, there are more options, head work/cams are MUCH cheaper, and with peole making 600+ rwhp on 2V engines, how much more potential do you need?

I had to choose between a swapping a Mach 1 engine or am 02GT engine with a Vortech into my 98GT. I chose the 2V, and I'm happy with it.

Edit: One more thing . . . both have the same crappy pistons and rods, so you'll eventually need a new short block regardless. The Mach engines for 5spd cars come with a forged crank, so that is a +
