www.maximummotorsports.com full length weld ins... There are others but I like all of MM's stuff.

Highly recommend those I have. They are Kenny Brown fullenght subs, welded in , and bolted into the seat brackets as well.

They're on the Ford's brand on the website, but when you get them, they're in a Kenny Brown box

MM or Kenny Brown. You can get real cheap subframe connectors, but . . . don't.

They weld in, you never want to upgrade from cheap ones to good ones, and good ones are only a few bones more than cheap ones.

What the hell is the difference between good ones and bad ones? It's only tube steel. Do some have thicker walls than others?

Thicker walls, yes. Better fit, design (round or boxed - plus crafted not to interfere with other common suspension or other mods), seat brackets, full length (not short), powder coating. All that make a quality subframe connector.

Or you could just buy the cheap eBay crap. They will all stiffen well. The name brands just work a lot better, and only cost $50 to 80 more anyway.

I asked this same question to a buddy of mine who works at a mustang shop (blue oval corral). He said there is virtually no real difference between cheap SF and the more expensive ones. They all do the same thing and your car won't feel a difference between $50 sf and $150 sf for a street/strip car. NOw if you plan on doing serious corner carving then get a good set. Either then that keep it simple (K.I.S.S. method).

I dont have them yet but I'll be getting these. TQ box plates built in, tubular, seat bracket included, and they are the only SFC I've seen with 3 welding contact points on the fwd side of the connector. They literaly get welded around the subframe not just to it! A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Has anyone gotten custom subframes put in at a local shop? Thats what Jay Allen instructed me to do(he lives about 10-15 minutes away)

And if they come already powder coated, wont the shop have to grind off some inorder to weld them to the car?

I run global west full lengths on my car with the seat tie-ins and I wouldn't run any other set on mine. I have seen many different types, but none have impressed me more for their fit, structure, etc than the global west units. They are THICK tube steel and tie-in at multiple places along the car.

Just a bracing point im pretty sure. Just another place to tie the frame of the car in together with. All the "good" SF will have them.

But to be honest, i dont know exactly, just my guess!

My buddy stole two stops signs and cut the posts to length and welded them in. FREEBIE!!!!!

Mine are the old Steeda's from 1994. Just a long peice of hollow steel ($79). Just pick whatever one you want. As long as there welded in its a ton better then nothing.

I think they'd be a nice addition, but they were a little too much for me. The standard connector and seat tie-ins are more than addequate, even in my 'vert.
