Best Supercharger For the 5.0

Anybody have a preference? Paxton or Vortech? Any difference?

Paxton and votrech merged a year or two ago. They did retain their sepatate product lines though.

Twin screws are crap. They are limited to the amount of boost they can make, are hell on clearances for everything. I know the snout doesnt clear a stock distributor. You cant intercool them, they generate far more heat, and they suck at high rpm. Centrifugal superchargers are more efficient, allow customizing of plumbing to suit all applications, easily doable with an intecooler, can clear everything, and generate more power anywhere you want depending on pulley.

Tell that to the 03 Kenne Bell Cobra that made 617 RWHP with just the swap and a new pulley that made 20 psi. And they dont have any psi drop off.

So if you run an SC-trim, and add a PowerPipe and 7" crank pulley, and u achieve 9-11 lbs of boost, would that be a bad idea for a stock motor? Should u only add a powerpipe and pulley on a h/c/i motor? Can the stock 5.0 handle more than 5-6 lbs of boost?

Yeah a couple people have, this is a big block fox though. But it gives ya an idea of what it would look like.

I bought an A-trim off RICK91GTs dad and I'm pretty sure he said he put down like 450 to the wheels and ran low 11s which doesn't sound too bad for an entry level blower
