Best valve stem seal?

I'm in the middle of installing my Trick Flow valve spring package, and am wondering if I should use the seals that they sent me. They are unlike the ones in the picture shown on the Summit website. They're black rubber with one thin wire wring on the bottom that would hold the seal on the seat, with a white (maybe Teflon?) insert that controls the oil on the valve stem. I've done a lot of searching on many different sites and haven't found an answer. What kind of seals should I go with?

I've been using fel-pro stock replacements for a while now, no problems

Thanks BlackFox. How many miles have you had them on? Anybody else have some info on the seals for me? I'm in a rush to get this done and don't really want to have all the springs changed and then find out that the trick flow ones aren't very good.

I dont like the umbrella style that come with most kits. Alot of high performance builders use these and recomend them when replaceing vavle seals.

Mine look like those, but they are all rubber. I had them in for maybe 8,000-10,000 miles, then I changed the heads but put the same type felpros.......

The best seals to use are the positive type "VITON" valve seals. The TEFLON P.C. type seals DO NOT have a memory. Meaning if they are not put on right and get distorted they retain the distorted shape.They also rip if they are not put on right. This is not good for sealing the valve stem. The viton seals have a memory and they are available in metal jacketed form and also all viton with a ring and band arangement. They come in 11/32" stem diameter and fit a .500 guide diameter and also 11/32" and a .530 guide diameter. Pioneer engine products has these seals in their catalog. Any good machine shop should have these seals in stock. The factories including Ford have been using viton seals since the 80's on just about everything they make.
