Best way to install clutch cable

Whats the best way to install new clutch cable?

i would put it on the quadrant first then pull out all the slack when you put the other end on the clutch fork

if you still can, remember how the old one is routed. I just took it off, and forgot how it was set up. So when i put the new one on (maximum motorsports) i was lost and had all this slack popping out of the hood. I did my own routing and it eventually worked, lol.

My problem is, I can put it on the qual first, but what to use to pull the fork back, so I can pull cable through and clamp it?

I don't remember what I did, but when I disconnected the clutch cable, I only took it off of the release lever, and kept it connected to the quadrant.

So when I put it back on, it had some slack (about 1/4 inch or so), so we just pulled up on the clutch pedal, and it clicked once and it was in place.
