Best way to pinpoint a 'miss'

My brother just told me that he put his car in the garage and turned the lights off and you can see each wire fire and if one is arching you can really see it. His were arching to the screws in the wire separators. Arching could cause a miss. I haven't tried it yet, we both have MSD wires.

Dead simple, this one - with the engine running, pull each plug lead off and replace it in turn, the one that doesn't affect the running is the one with a misfire.

You might want to wear some decent rubber gloves just in case - the current is low, but the Voltage is high.

Super easy one - If you got headers, and not manifolds, just drip a drop of water down on the exhaust tube. If it doesn't vaporize, it doesn't fire on that cylinder. Of course the has to be running to make this work.

Thats a good one

i used to do it this way. taking the plug wires off one at at time..but .taking it one step futher..taking one off and then leaving that one off..then going around the heads and take one off at a time...because sometimes it can be hard to hear a miss taking just one plug wire off at a time..but if you have two dead cylinders it is easier to hear..
