best way to plug off coolant lines?

I blocked off the EGR hole at the head so no exhaust gases will be running through my intake or throttle body, I would like to plug off those two coolant line running fromt the EGR spacer but what would be the best way on the heater pipe? I had a plug on it but my uncle said it probably would blow right off. Any suggestions?

cant you just run them together (like connecting lines to/from a heater core when it is leaking)?

I just got like a 1" piece of tubing, put it on the heater tubing (the black thing along the intake) and put a hose calmp on it, got a small sheetmetal screw, put it in the top, and put another hose clamp on. did the same for the rear port too....had it this way for, maybe a year? not a leak, no problems...
