Choosing between Felpro Performance #1152 and Felpro Performance #1011-1 head gaskets, which is better for hi-perf street driving with limited strip action? The heads will be fastened down with an ARP cylinder head stud kit.

If you using this with stock heads and are using the car as a daily driver with no nitrous or blower, use the 1152 gasket. These gasket have stainless steel embedded into the gasket core for each cylinder for stronger than stock sealing.

If you are using any cast-iron performance or stock heads with nitrous or blower, use the 1011-1. These gaskets have a pre-flattened "steel" ring in the gasket for each cylinder.

If you have Aluminum cylinder heads, use the 1011-2, as they have a pre-flattened "copper" ring to provide similar characteristics of the 1011-1, but with the copper ring you won't indent or leave impressions on the aluminum head mating surface after they are torqued down.

i run the 1011-1 because thats what AFR recommends when using their heads with a sc. they didnt say anything about indenting the heads

Thanks for the reply. From what I gathered from today, you are right on the mark with the 1011-1 being for iron heads and 1011-2 being for aluminum heads. The strange thing I found out was the 1152 gaskets are nothing more than the standard 82-84 HO gaskets part number 9333PT1 in different packaging, and those won't do at all.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
