Thats a decent one then,some mods and it will easiely push 450hp

i agree if you are going to drag race do a big block. i personally love the 351w but after racing BB cars i wish i had one.

i have a 351W in my 87 stang gt..its got a quitwe a bit of work with 4:10s i love it...and so what do ytou guys think for HP stock on the 460 1977 lincon continital

high 200s on hp, 400 something torque roughly, because those are the smog era 460s, its got a good block but the best iron heads to start with are C8VE (1968) - D3VE (1973). 68-70 i believe has the small 75 cc chanbers like mine, 71 -73 have 90 something cc chambers. with some port work, 68-73 heads are very good and can support about 700hp with extensive work done.

O and i hope you have experience with extensive motor swaps because this swap is a PITA. and if you have a budget like $5,000, add about $1,500 extra to it to cover everything and thats a mild build. but its worth it. mine is very street friendly.

i goofed its a 400 because its a 1979 lincon so what do you all think now? it runs really nice just wondering if it will be worth it??

come on guys what do you think of building a 400 small block to throw in a notch back gutted out mustang...kerep it or chuck it?!!!!
