Just ordered some, does anyone have any good or bad input on these tires. I went with the Kdw's because the rain in So.Texas has crazy this year. Need that wet traction.

I have the KDW's on my 01 cobra and I like them. I don't drive the car in bad weather or winters so I can't comment on ice/rain grip on pavement.

I have the exact ones. I love them.
I've had Nitto 555 Extreme Drags and those where great but not for daily driving, only 100 treadwear.

The tread is awsome on these; treadwear 300 and that's the most grip I've had on such a hard tire.

They do hook very well and they aren't a very expensive tire, like the Eagle F1's.

tfritz I like your car, I have the same one just w/ 03 chrome cobra wheels instead.

I'm putting them on 18 inch roush wheels. I bought them at discount tire for 245 a tire mounted, balanced, and installed. I was going to get Toyo T1-S tires online, for 190 a tire, but after shipping, mounting, balance and install I would be paying more than the BFG's............Go figure.

As long as you got KDW and not KDWS, they are good tires.

KDW = decent traction, successor to the stock Comp T/A's, noisy after wear, 300 tread rating

KDWS= all weather tires, mainly for snow, 400 tread rating, had a club member not listen and buy these, then show up to an Open track event in the heat, only to have chunks of tread and sections of tires peel away while on the track. Pieces were missing from the tire. I would not get these unless you drive the car tame and want long lasting tires.

i just picked up a set from costco of all places....245/45/17 the total came out to $698 mounted and balanced as far as grip, not to sure yet there is more roll on these tires than the old comp ta's but they seem to be just as predictable havnt gotten too loose with them yet

go for it i like e m better than the potenza s03, those tires vibrated alot and took awhile to heat up for good traction.

Well, I am goin for the KDW's as well. Although, I'm looking to plus size from my 17" rims. I want the 03 cobra rims, but in 18" Chrome. I found 'em, but they aint cheap. (1200 for 4) and then the KDW's (700 for 4) Hmmm, I need them to last a while though..... no burnouts for me..... OK, I'll do ONE.... FILL IT UP AGAIN! It's so good, Once you taste the smoke, its so good!

I have had a set on my ROUSH every since they replaced the Comp TAs. Got a set on the Cobra too.

I like them, tread wear is not excessive and do not create excessive road noise.

My input go for it, they are awesome tires. They stick like glue for handling compared to the BF's that came with my 98 Cobra.

Thanks, notchstang92.
I wanted to get the 2000 R 18" rims but no income at this time. (IT guy out of job)
If you want tires that stick and last a long time, these are the tires to get.
