The 255's are great out front, I first had 275 and my car was all over the road. Made it kinda scary when in tight spaces with other cars. But it was night and day difference when i switched to the 255's out front on my cobra rims
I currently have the 255's KDW N/T on 17 X 9 cobra rims.
They look amazing and I even added a 1" wheel spacer to make the rear stance more aggresive, they handle great on the street, but I couldn't hook up for ***** at the track.
I have been watching the classifieds and I'll probably pick up a set of drag radials when I do go to the track. I have driven my friends 04 Mustang that has the 275's KDW old tread and I personally like the way my 255's in the front handle better.
Two things kept me from buying these tires. 1. I could'nt find them anywhere in stock. 2. Every comment I saw on them people were biotching about the tire noise. So I said screw it and bought another set of Toyos. Great tire.
+100000000000000!!!! My thoughts exactly. I will also add that they are the best tires I have ever had ( way better than 555's which suck in the rain IMO). My fronts are still going, & have over 25k+ miles on them even with no rotation, & aggressive driving. I got about 20k out of my last set of rears, but that was with multiple burnouts & donuts...
Yup. Best tire I have ever tried too. Buying a set for my Benz too. They are a lot better than the KDW1s I had. Dont get them.
The KDW2s were also way better than the Michelin Pilot Sports ($$$$$$) I had before... they only stuck once they were really HOT.
As for road noise. If you can hear your tires in your mustang then your exhaust is too quiet!
I have the KDW's 275/40/17 rear,245/45/17 front on 17x9's and I think they hook great on the street. I push a decent amount of torque too. My tires are still pretty new so that might influence it
