Hi all,

With the snow slowly going away my 05 GT will be out of storage and on its way to the shop for the addition of a KB SC set to 7-8 psi which should provide 430 rwhp. With the big HP increase I would like to increase braking power as well in case I get a little to enthusiastic. What are your recommendations for the best "bang for buck" in bigger brake kits?

Thanks to all.

Stoptecks for big improvement (they manufacture for saleen). (around us$2000)
If you only wish to get rid of a little fade, change the pads (to hawks or ebc´s) and fluid (ate super blue race or something like that) and it should be enough... (around us$200)

I love the kit I have from SSBC. made a huge improvement over stock and very good quality. Their prices seem to be about the best too from what I have seen from the other kits on the market..if you want you can call over to www.ssbrakes.com and speak with Sean White..Tell him Chris from B&M referred you and he may be able to help you with a good deal...

http://www.steeda.com/products/gt_front_brake_kit.php

the bear kit is by far the best bang for the buck

it uses a 14 inch rotor and a caliper off a z06 corvette wich is no joke of a caliper .. this kit cost only 1 k and will give you 99 percent of the improvment the 2500$ plus kits will.

with the added bonus that you just walk down to autozone and buy corvet z-06 brake pads when you need to service your brakes.

with all the other kits useing non oem calipers you have to order your brake pads from the manufacture of the brake kit.

yeah, the baers can be had for about a grand and are awesome. 4 piston calipers, 14" rotors, and SEXY! Need 18" wheels, though.
