im calling this project nightmare. this all started with trying to upgrade my 4 lug brakes. that failed, in the process i replaced my tubular arms, with new tubular arms. between installing/removing the 4-lug stuff on the NEW arms, i have had to replace the balljoint on each side once.

i went to the rear end to pull my axles.. this is the end result;

snapped off pinion shaft locking bolt. i ordered the special removal tool, i am still not certain how that will end. might be in for a nightmare..

anyways, it is now going to be equipped with the m-2300k kit with some tweaks and upgrades. here is some progress pics, hoping to wrap it up over the weekend.

random pics + new redline shift boots right before i took the car down.

just missing my wheels..

I snapped that bolt too. Luckily, I was going to 31 spline, so I took a cut-off wheel and cut into the carrier perpendicular to that bolt on both sides of the cross shaft. That freed up the cross shaft and allowed disassembly to continue. My carrier, however, was trash. I've since learned that it's good practice to use heat before even attempting to remove it. Good luck.

I was gettin some axles out of a junkyard to do a 4 lug swap and snapped that little bolt on the only 2 vehicles available to get the axles, i said screw it and decided to stay 4 lug lol. Things like that always seem to get in the way, but eventually you make it thru...keep on it!!! Turn that nightmare in the garage into a nightmare on the streets/track!

update for tonight;

went and picked up friction modifier, synthetic gear oil and some odds and ends. when i got home my extractor kit was here.

i picked up a new tank of propane and went at the region on the carrier for like 30 seconds with my torch. about 15 minutes later my ez-out bit spun back out of the carrier with this;
