So, I blew up a 289 with a mild cam and a 4 barrel carb. Floated and dtopped a valve and well...there went the 289. So I got a 94 351w block with roller lifters, put a lunati voodoo cam in it with appropriate parts to support the bigger cam and the 650 carb from the 289. But this motor won't pull like the little 289. I figured it'd fly down the street. It has torque, I'll give it that but no power. I need a valve adjustment and can't get the correct timing until then but will that be my problem? It should pick up a bit of power but 300hp+ like it should?
