Ever since I put my PI intake on, I have noticed that my K&N filter (FIPK) has always made a fairly loud "sucking" or "whooshing" noise when I stomp on the gas. The air silencer is removed, so I have assumed that's why I can hear it. On the other hand, should I get a bigger filter if the sound indicates the engine needs more air?

I think the sound is telling you you're getting more air now so I don't think you need a bigger filter. The pi is better flowing as is a k&n flilter and w/ the silencer removed it's not uncommon to hear a ''swoosh'' of air when you hit the throttle. BTW, I think that sounds awesome!:nice: I have the FIPK2 and love it.
