Bigger Tires for my 66 - fit question

Hey guys - just got a new set of 15 x7 styled steel rim with 4.25 inch backspace for my 66 convertible. I've looked at Dodgestangs chart, and it appears that nobody has had any clearance or rubbing issues with this rim and a set of 225 60s. I'd prefer 215s, but BFG doesn't make 215s in a raised white lettering, and, lets face it, thats cool. So has anybody put 225s on a 15 x7 on an early stang with stock suspension? Any issues? Will 225s look too fat on a relatively stock 66 convertible?

Not really sure about the fitment, but i've got 235 60r14's all around and it looks mean. Tires can never be too fat! unless they rub, which my front ones do a bit, but i just corner real easy until i can get my fenders rolled.

I have 15x7 all the way around 215s. Roll front fender lips. Rears will rub with a full car with shocks on soft. Haven't rubbed yet on medium.

I'm trying to fit 275s haha.

I've got the same wheels and tires on my 66 Coupe w/stock suspension and the front tires do rub when I take a turn. If I take it easy and keep the nose from dipping in a turn I'm OK, but I will definately roll the fenders very soon.

I am having the same problem. I picked up a set of BFGRadial T/A tires at Columbus last year for the back, now I need a matching set for the front. I'm using the Magnum 500 15x7 wheel. I left the 6 cyl springs in, so not sure wht to do. I am leaning towards the 195-60-15 but would like to put at least the 205-60-15 in front, but not sure if they will rub yet.
