BIggest wheels on a 65?

This is my first post on here. Does any one know what the biggest widest wheels and tires will fit on a 65 stang without any problems?Thanks for any info.

Theoretically since they will handle a 25 inch tall tire, then you could conceiveably run a 23 inch tall wheel and 25 inch tire. and both up to about 8-9 inches wide. Not that it will look good , but if you liked that sort of thing, you could.

thanks alot guys. Im not into the big wheels on everything I think Ill run 17's

In a nut shell with a 17 you can run a 245 to a 265 depending on what brakes you have, what leafs you have and if you are willing to roll the rear fenders.

All this is on my wheel chart someone linked above but....

17x8 4.75 BS

Stock Drum, 5 leaf mid eye, 265 with a small spacer and rolled fenders
SSBC disc brake, 5 leaf mid eye, 255 and rolled fenders
Stock drum or disc brake, any leafs - 245 sometimes they rub and sometimes they don't
