billet or cue ball shift knob

I live in Alabama where it gets very hot during the summer. I looking into either buying a Stack racing polished billet shifter knob or possible a cue ball shaped one. I'm looking for opinions and advice. What is better? Will the aluminum get too hot to touch? is the Cue ball more comfortable? I'm new to this forum so I think I'm in right spot and hopefully I will get the answers I have been looking for?
